I found it out a few weeks later. For a very long time this was his favorite set of pictures we shot together. These pictures were taken at an old hotel foundation. It's called the "swamp hotel". Hidden in the greenery in Mechelen you can find the abandoned remains of what was supposed to become the biggest hotel of the province Antwerp. But they had stop building very soon. The lack of money and the swampy ground was a big problem! So they had to stop. Further construction was useless. What should have been a megalomaniac project was soon forgotten. What now remains is an unfinished concrete construction, a place for graffiti artists, for bats and for outdoor photoshoots.
