Months ago I gave it to her to hold onto because we were out doing errands and I forgot to get it back from her. Little things like this happen and it just hits me all over again right when I’m doing okay momentarily. Earlier today I ran into someone that knew my mom land we catched up and I told her about her passing. One of the first things someone says is “you guys were so close.” Which is entirely true. I thought putting my 8 yr old dog down last year was hard. It was but it was different. Losing a parent or close loved one is this debilitating internal pain. All I want to do is sleep and be in bed. Most days it seems I take a step forward and 2 backwards. When I say I’m grateful for everyone being here for me in general and when she passed I truly mean it. The well wishes I received when she was in surgery meant so much. I truly am thankful that so many of you are still here 💗
