From my last show - The NPC National Championships. 🏆 Did you know, the night before a bodybuilding competition, competitors will often load up on carbohydrates? Depending on how lean you are or even your body type, the goal of this is to fill your muscles up with glycogen (Carbs) the best you can to give them a more muscular appearance. This is only achieved because competitors have done weeks of strict dieting going into the competition. Some competitors will actually use junk carbohydrates like candy, cakes, or even a hamburger and french fries. Some competitors prefer to keep the carbs a little "cleaner" such as sweet potatoes or rice. I always did really well with hamburger and fries! 🍔 I assumed many of you didn't know this so hopefully I taught ya something new about bodybuilding competitions 😄
