We have officially been given the mandatory evacuation order. Fire is less than 5kms from our house and winds are pushing it in our direction. It initially seemed to be veering aways from us but major wind changes has completely butchered that hope. We just now arrived at a hotel. We have no idea how long we will be required to stay here. It could be days, weeks. I don't know. We have 6 animals. No hotel allows for more than 2. Home owners insurance won't cover more than one hotel room. Basically we are having to pay for two hotel rooms and sneak an extra animal in each room. It's an absolute cluster fuck and is going to cost us potentially thousands of dollars. Tomorrow I will be setting up a little campaign fund in hopes to get our hotel covered for while we are here. I hate doing that more than I could ever describe. But it's where we are at the moment. I will get back to all of your messages as soon as I can but if im inactive for stretches of time, please know it is not my intentions to ignore anyone
